How do I Become A NASM Certified Personal Trainer?There are many options for becoming a personal trainer, but not all are equal. Few people who enroll in an online course or study a book to take a certification exam actually complete, get certified, and are successful in their careers. If you want to be a great personal trainer, you should know the following:
The program can be completed in as little as eight weeks (nineteen weeks for the evening schedule). Every Guardian graduate has passed the NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) CPT exam on the first try. Several local employers have guaranteed job interviews to Guardian CPT graduates. Every Guardian graduate has gotten a job as a trainer. Guardian uses the National Academy of Sports Medicine curriculum. NASM certification has a documented higher salary than other PT certifications. Guardian provides hands-on application for the concepts learned in class with sample clients at real gym settings. Guardian is the only school offering the NASM curriculum in Idaho.
NASM CES Now EnrollingThe NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist certification is now available at Guardian College. Trainers with the NASM CPT credential or other qualified individuals are eligible to take this course to increase their client base, improve referrals, and provide 1.9 CE credits for NASM CPT recertification. The 60-hour course will emphasize hands-on learning and is designed to expand the student's knowledge of injury rehabilitation through strength training and flexibility. The course will be offered in December and June.
